UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF A WEAPON, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Denis Duheme, 18, of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2022 and charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon, breach of prohibition order, as well as breach of undertaking for possessing a prohibited weapon. It is alleged on November 9th, 2022, the man was observed to be in possession of brass knuckles, despite his conditions. On November 10th, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on November 10th, 2022 and charged with assault. It is alleged on October 31, 2022, the youth assaulted someone known to her and police were contacted to investigate. On November 10th, 2022, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, On – James Dennis, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2022 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000, as well as  breach of probation for possessing alcohol, being anywhere alcohol is sold, and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 29th and September 3rd, 2022, the man attended a Second Street business and removed a quantity of alcohol, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 10th, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 13th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Dillion Johnson, 28, of Snye, QC was arrested on November 10th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for having contact with a certain person. It is alleged on November 10th, 2022, while stopped at the Canadian Port of Entry, the man was located in the company of someone he has conditions of no contact with and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 22nd, 2022.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 10th, 2022 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged during an altercation with her boyfriend, the woman made threats to kill him and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 6th, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
