BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old youth was arrested on October 12th, 2022, and charged with breaching a release order. It is alleged that on October 12th, 2022, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to attend school regularly. The youth failed to do so and police were contacted. The youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court at a later date. The identity of the youth was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FRAUD UNDER $5000, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR PRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Kirk Beckstead, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 12th, 2022, and charged with fraud under $5000 and failing to attend for prints. It is alleged that on April 13th, 2022, the man accepted a deposit to install roof shingles and never re-attended to complete the work. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged that on October 6th, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend for fingerprints and failed to do so. On October 12th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to address the matters. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Susan Ayres, 48, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 12th, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on October 12th, 2022, the woman attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise and left the store without attempting to pay for it. She was taken into custody by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. She was released to appear in court on November 24th, 2022.

HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – a 16-year-old youth of Cornwall was arrested on October 12th, 2022, and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged that on October 11th, 2022, after previously being warned not to, the youth repeatedly communicated with the victim causing fear for safety. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH OF PROBATION, POSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

Cornwall, ON – Korbin Billard, 33 of Cornwall, was arrested on October 12th, 2022, and charged with breach of probation and possession of the stolen property. It is alleged that on October 12th, 2022, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged that on this date, police responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle. Police located the vehicle with the man operating it. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old woman of Cornwall was arrested on October 12th, 2022, and charged with assault. It is alleged that on October 12th, 2022, the woman struck her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and was released to appear in court on November 8th, 2022.

FRAUD OVER $5000, PERSONATION

Cornwall, ON – Sue-Anne Heitmann, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 13th, 2022, and charged with fraud over $5000 and personation. It is alleged that between March 15, 2020, and August 30th, 2020, the woman used another person’s identity to obtain emergency relief benefits that she was not entitled to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 13th, 2022, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 24th, 2022.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Blake Bonnell, 18, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 13th, 2022, and charged with two counts of mischief under $5000. It is alleged that on October 13th, 2022, the man caused damage to a residence and a vehicle on the same property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022.

UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING

Cornwall, ON – Erick Legue, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 13th, 2022, and charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling. It is alleged that on October 13th, 2022, police a complaint that someone had entered dwelling without the occupant’s approval. Upon police arrival, the man was located inside the property. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Keith Martin, 66, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 13th, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on August 18th, 2022, the man entered a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise, and left without making an attempt to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located on October 13th, 2022, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 24th, 2022.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Deborah Smith, 52, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 13th, 2022, and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged that on October 12th, 2022, the woman threatened to harm another person known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 13th, 2022, the woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 24th, 2022.

WARRANT, BREACHES

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on October 13th, 2022, on the strength of an executed warrant and charged with two counts of breach of release order. It is alleged that on April 26th, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued. On October 13th, 2022, it is alleged the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact his ex-girlfriend and to not be 250 meters of where she may be. On this date, it is also alleged that he attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and communicated with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The warrant was executed. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
