WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Raymond Ward, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on August 11th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on June 30th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a breach of conditional sentence order offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 11th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 20th, 2022.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Elton Cox, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on August 11th, 2022 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged on July 5th, July 12th, and July 14th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a breach of probation order offence and warrants were issued for his arrest. It is further alleged on July 10th, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. On August 11th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and released to appear in court on September 20th, 2022.

POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE X 2, OBSTRUCT POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Geza Gelencser, 70, of Cornwall was arrested on August 11th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance x 2 (cocaine and fentanyl)
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Obstruct police

It is alleged on August 11th, 2022, the man interfered with an unrelated investigation by parking his vehicle in front of a tow truck and preventing it from leaving. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, at which time he was found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine and a knife. The man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 20th, 2022.
