WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Larry Labelle, 45, of Long Sault was arrested on June 30th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on June 29th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a drug offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 30th, 2022, the warrant was executed while the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Aston Ellis, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on June 30th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on June 14th, 2022, the man damaged a lock at a local business and removed a bank card that did not belong to him. The man subsequently committed a fraud by using the bank card to complete a transaction. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 30th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on August 9th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 62-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 30th, 2022 and charged with three counts of breach of probation for contacting his ex-wife, being within a certain distance of her and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching his undertaking for contacting his ex-wife. It is alleged on June 23rd, 2022, the man had contact with the woman while within a certain distance of her, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 30th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 19th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Robert MacDonald, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on June 30th, 2022 and charged with breach of probation order for failing to abide by his curfew. It is alleged on June 30th, 2022, the man was located by police to be outside and away from his residence, despite his conditions. An investigation ensued and he was subsequently taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 9th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on July 1st, 2022 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking and two counts of breach of release order for contacting his ex-girlfriend and being within a certain distance of her. It is alleged on July 1st, the man was located by police to be in the company of his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions. An investigation ensued and the man was subsequently taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 1st, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on July 1st, the woman assaulted her boyfriend during an altercation and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Korbin Billard, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on July 2nd, 2022 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged on both May 31st, 2022 and June 14th, 2022, the man failed to attend court and warrants were issued for his arrest. On July 2nd, 2022, the man was taken into custody and the warrants were executed. He was held in custody to await a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 2nd, 2022 and charged with domestic assault, criminal harassment and theft under $5000. It is alleged during an altercation on June 19th, 2022, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend and took a quantity of money from the woman without her permission. It is further alleged between June 19-July 2, 2022, the man repeatedly contacted the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 2nd, 2022, he was taken into custody during a traffic stop. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 2nd, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter. 

POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Randy Marc Campeau, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on July 3rd, 2022 and charged with three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, being Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Cocaine. He was also charged with possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged while police were executing a drug warrant at a Louisa Street residence on May 10th, 2022, a quantity of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Cocaine, in addition to a quantity of Canadian currency was located in the residence where the man was. An investigation ensued and on July 3rd, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 9th, 2022.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Larry Seguin, 50, of Montreal, QC was arrested on July 3rd, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000, as well as breach of release order for attending a certain business and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 29th, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business, despite his conditions, and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 3rd, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

CORNWALL MAN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES AFTER IMPAIRED INVESTIGATION

Cornwall, ON – Sukhman Sandhu, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on July 3rd, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Over 80
  • Fail to stop after an accident
  • Flight from police
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Breach of release order x 2 (for operating a motor vehicle and being outside of his residence with alcohol in his body)

It is alleged during the night of July 3rd, 2022, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, when the vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the area of Cumberland Street and Ellen Street. The man failed to remain at the scene of the collision and police were contacted. Police subsequently located the man operating the motor vehicle, who failed to stop for police and was operating the motor vehicle in a dangerous manner. He was subsequently stopped by police and taken into custody. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
