BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – Ethan Bressard, 19, of no fixed address, was arrested on June 29th, 2022, and charged with breaching a release order. It is alleged that on June 29th, 2022, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to notify CPS of any change of address within 24 hours. On this date, an unrelated police investigation revealed that the man had changed addresses and did not notify CPS. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – Joey Laurin, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 29th, 2022, and charged with four counts of breach of release order. It is alleged that the man is bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to sign in with CPS every Tuesday, and to reside at a certain address. On April 5th, 2022, police received information the man was no longer living at the appropriate address and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged that on April 12th, 19th, and 26th, 2022, the man failed to sign in with CPS. On June 29th, 2022, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Larry Labelle, 45, of Long Sault, was arrested on June 29th, 2022, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. On June 21st, 2022, it is alleged that the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and he is also bound by a release order to remain in his residence at all times. On this date, it is alleged that police spotted the man outside of his residence and he fled when police attempted to intercept him. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 29th, 2022, the man was located and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old woman of Cornwall, was arrested on June 30th, 2022, and charged with breaching a release order. It is alleged that the woman was bound by a release order to not have contact with her ex-boyfriend. On June 30th, 2022, police located the woman with her ex-boyfriend. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear on August 2nd, 2022. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in her outstanding court matters.
