WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Lalonde, 27, of Ottawa, was arrested on June 27th, 2022, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on April 20th, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 27th, 2022, the man was in custody on unrelated matters and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man of Ottawa was arrested on June 27th, 2022, and charged with 8 counts of breach of probation. The man is currently bound by two probation orders with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavior, and to not contact an individual. It is alleged that between February 1st and June 5th, 2022, the man repeatedly contacted the individual he was prohibited from doing so. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged that on June 19th, 2022, the man attempted to contact the same individual and police were contacted. On June 27th, 2022, the man attended Police Headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Amber Rosenburg, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 27th, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on June 20th, 2022, the woman attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 27th, 2022, the woman attended Police Headquarters to address the matter. The was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on July 28th, 2022.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Joseph Hebert, 32, of Plantagenet, Ontario, was arrested on June 27th, 2022, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on the following dates;

  • February 7th, 2022
  • February 14th, 2022
  • February 16th, 2022
  • February 17th, 2022

The man attended a Second Street business, selected merchandise and left the store without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted on each occasion resulting in an investigation. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest for each incident. On June 27th, 2022, the man was located during an unrelated matter, the warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on July 28th, 2022.

ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS, HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS

Cornwall, ON – On June 27th, 2022, police were contacted to investigate an assault that occurred at a Brookdale Avenue business. It is alleged that three youths attended the business and assaulted another young person. Investigation revealed it is also alleged that one of the youths was threatening and repeatedly sending harassing text messages leading up to this incident. As a result of the investigation;

  • A 15-year-old youth was taken into custody and charged with assault, uttering threats, and harassing communications.
  • A 15-year-old youth was taken into custody and charged with assault.
  • A 15-year-old youth was taken into custody charged with assault.

They were released to appear in court at a later date. Their names were not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
