DOMESTIC ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, UTTERING THREATS, SEXUAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on June 16th, 2022, and charged with assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, and sexual assault. It is alleged that on multiple occasions, he choked, threatened, and sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charges accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jason Turcotte, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 16th, 2022, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on June 13th, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issues for his arrest. On June 16th, 2022, the man attended Police Headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Brenda Fortier-Bishop, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 16th, 2022, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on June 6th, 2022, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On June 16th, 2022, the woman attended Police Headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, SHOPLIFTING, BREACH OF PROBATION, BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – Vaugh Bough, 37, of Summerstown, was arrested on June 16th, 2022, on the strength of an outstanding warrant, and charged with theft under $5000, breach of release order, and breach of probation. It is alleged that on April 14th, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. The man was located on June 16th, 2022, and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing. Furthermore, On June 16th, 2022, it is alleged that the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition not to attend a Water Street business, he was also bound by a probation order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, he attended the Water Street business he was prohibited from, selected a bottle of perfume and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the merchandise. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was already in custody, was advised of the additional charges, and held for a bail hearing.

POSESSION OF PROPERT OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – Curtis Griffith, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 16th, 2022, and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, and breach of probation. On June 16th, 2022, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, police located the man in possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
