FAIL TO ATTEND COURT, THEFT UNDER $5000 X 3

Cornwall, ON – Brian Kirkey, 62, of St. Andrews West was arrested on June 3rd, 2022 and charged with failing to attend court, as well as three counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged on May 26th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a theft offence and police were contacted. It is further alleged between May 4-6, 2022, the man attended three local businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the stores on any occasion. On June 3rd, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 3rd, 2022 and charged with two counts of breach of probation for contacting his ex-girlfriend and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 2nd, 2022, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On June 3rd, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

TWO YOUTHS ARRESTED FOR BREACHES

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old and 15-year-old youth, both of Cornwall, were arrested on June 3rd, 2022 and each charged with breaching their conditions on no-contact with each other. It is alleged on June 3rd, both youths were located together, despite their conditions, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, they were both taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Their names were not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 3rd, 2022 and charged with three counts of breach of probation for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a certain distance of her, as well as failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 3rd, 2022, while police were investigating an unrelated matter, the man was located in the company of his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Richard Kerr, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on June 4th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on May 13th, 2021 for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 4th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 4th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged between April 1-May 1, 2022, the man repeatedly contacted a woman whom he had a brief relationship with, despite being asked to stop. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 4th, 2022, the man was taken into custody during a traffic stop. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on June 21st, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

FOUR YOUTHS ARRESTED FOR BREAKING AND ENTERING

Cornwall, ON – Four Cornwall youths between the ages of 14 and 17 were arrested on June 4th, 2022 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged during the night hours of June 4th, 2022, four youths had entered a Pitt Street building without permission and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, they were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Their names were not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on June 5th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for contacting her boyfriend and being within a certain distance of him. It is alleged on June 5th, 2022, the woman was in the company of her boyfriend, despite the conditions of her release order, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Jarvis, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on June 5th, 2022 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged between January 2022 and March 2022, the man failed to attend court on two occasions, as well as failed to attend for fingerprints on two occasions. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On June 5th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.
