WARRANTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Cloutier, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on March 28th, 2022 on the strength of two warrants and charged with breach of release order for failing to remain in his residence. It is alleged on September 13th, 2021, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. It is further alleged on January 25th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a theft offence and warrants were issued for his arrest. On March 28th, 2022, the man was located outside of his residence, despite the conditions of his release order. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH, ASSAULT POLICE

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Maxville woman was arrested on March 28th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Breach of release order x 3 (for failing to remain in her residence, contacting her ex-boyfriend and being within a certain distance of him)
  • Breach of undertaking x 4 (for failing to remain in her residence, failing to reside with her surety, contacting her ex-boyfriend and being within a certain distance of him)
  • Assault police

It is alleged on March 25th, 2022 and on March 28th, 2022, the woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s residence, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody and subsequently assaulted a police officer. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Daeman Prevost-Wanless, 18, of Ottawa was arrested on March 28th, 2022 and charged with break and enter and assault. It is alleged on March 20th, 2022, the man entered the residence of someone known to him without permission and assaulted two individuals. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 28th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.
